Alvaro Bautista wants to give the decisive tear

On the eve of the Aragon Round, the third-last round of the 2023 World Superbike Championship, Alvaro Bautista issued a challenge to his main rival in the race for an encore of the title won in 2022, strong with 57 points ahead of Yamaha’s Turkish Toprak Razgatlioglu.

"It's always special to race in Spain,” the Ducati centaur told a press conference.

It's my home race, I will share the weekend with my friends, my family and all the Spanish fans. Aragon è a challenging circuit with many different kinds of corners, in the last test we did here three weeks ago we had a good feeling and I hope to have it again this weekend".

The veteran doesn’t want to take anything for granted: "I’ll try to do my best and enjoy the weekend. I have good memories here becauseé I won five races on this track with Ducati but I also got on the podium with Honda. This track è really nice for me, but in races everything è possible, you have to be careful".

At the end of the Superbike 2023 championship there are three weekends left, all in the Iberian Peninsula: after Aragon it will goà in fact in Portugal (September 30 and 1° October), before concluding the season in Jerez (28 and 29 October), a destination chosen to replace the Round of Argentina, deleted from the calendar in recent weeks.
