Filippo Ganna spoke out after he fell when there were about 25 km to the finish line of the 2023 European Cycling Championships and he was in the race for the title.
"We had some bad luck. In the first crash there were many of us involved and fortunately my teammates quickly brought me back into the group. After that we entered the circuit well and were ready to have a good race, then forò unfortunately there’è was the bad luck of the second crash. We had managed to take away the right group… We will try to make up for it as soon as possible, now forò we have to try to recover".
