Jannik Sinner is about to get back on track after his elimination at the US Open at the hands of Alexander Zverev and his absence at the Davis Cup.

The South Tyrolean è ready for his upcoming Asian trip, with the ATP 500 tournament in Beijing marking the start of the adventure. Scheduled for Sept. 28 to Oct. 4, this event represents an opportunity for Italy&#39s No. 1 to accumulate important points ahead of the ATP Finals.

Sinner will make his debut against Britain’s Daniel Evans, who currently occupies the 27° world ranking. There is no history between the two players, with Evans suffering a defeat in Chengdu by Safiullin in the round of 16. Next, Sinner in case of victory will face either Japan’s Yoshihito Nishioka or China’s Juncheng Shang. The quarterfinal could feature a match against Dane Holger Rune, who is going through a difficult period of results. However, the South Tyrolean will have to overcome first the Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime and then the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov or the American Mackenzie McDonald.

Sinner aims to reach the long-awaited semifinal against Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish tennis player è back from the US Open and will face a qualifier before he can meet our own Lorenzo Musetti. If he wins, he could meet Norway’s Casper Ruud in the quarterfinals. Sinner and Alcaraz have crossed rackets six times, with a 3-3 record. This year, Alcaraz won the semifinals of the Indian Wells Masters 1000, but Sinner è redeemed himself with a win in the semifinals of the Miami Masters 1000.
