Daniel Hackett è outspoken about Virtus Bologna’s ambitions
During an interview given to the microphones of the "Resto del Carlino", Virtus Bologna point guard Daniel Hackett, after winning the Supercup, was outspoken about the club’s ambitions ahead of this season both in the league and in the Euroleague.
"On my part there's a desire to try to win the Scudetto. A year ago we came close to the title and in June we came even closer. I think it will be a very interesting championship. It seems to me that the level of the opponents has risen. Then è it is clear that in a long series the quality and depth of the rosters will make the difference. This year, the final series will be shorter, best of five games, so the home court factor will affect even more,” Virtus Bologna’s point guard debuted.
"The goal è to try to reach the Euroleague playoffs, but it will not be easy. Last season until March we were on the waterline. One or two games away from qualification, then we paid a little bit of tiredness" added the former CSKA Moscow.
"The first feeling è that of great happiness. Winning a trophy is always good for morale and we are even happier because the girls won as well. With the change of coach there'è was a little turbulence and we were a little bit lost, then però we talked to each other, we united and the results were seen" commented Daniel Hackett.
