Pecco Bagnaia’s words at the press conference

Pecco Bagnaia wants to make up for it in Motegi, after the crash in India in the last Grand Prix that allowed his rival Jorge Martin to get closer and closer in the overall standings, now only 13 points away. "Reaction after the’India? The road taken è the right one. Yesterday and today I talked with my team and they think the work we are doing is correct. The goal è to find the feeling in braking and I hope we will succeed – he stressed in the press conference in Motegi -. What did I lose? My feeling è of braking the same way, but not stopping the bike. That didn’t happen to me before. Even when I crashed, all of a sudden the rear è came back in line with the front and I slid. Usually this thing I manage, but in the last weekend è it was difficult to control it. I have confidence that we will solve it as early as tomorrow".

"Moreù pressure? In the last three race weekends I had some bad luck. Between Barcelona, Misano and India, last weekend è was one of the most difficult but I was second. We lost several points, but I am pretty sure that in the difficulties we manage to be competitive. There are 7, actually 14 races left. I don t think and don feel that I have more pressure on me. Last year was more intense because we were missing a title for 15 years. Now I know we can fight for victory and when we are not in good shape we can finish in second place. I am not too worried at the moment and I don’t want to feel pressure" continued the reigning champion.

"How do I erase from my mind the fall of’India and Japan 2022? Will have to clear my thoughts by running. We are already racing this weekend and it is important to understand why we fell and get right back on track. I don’t have any problems, I don’t think about last week’s fall and I know perfectly well how strong we are and how strong I am. In the same situation, I would still push. I am always improving and I will try to win as always. Last year was a different situation. Yesterday and Monday night until 3 a.m. I watched all the videos of all my braking points, to see if even visually you could tell what was going wrong. In the last few races the rear end has been acting weird, lately the drift è over the limit. We understood that and we are working on that and this weekend we will start with a new way. We will have two different setups to choose from. Fighting against 2 Ducatis? Last year they hammered me with team orders, now they won’t. For Ducati è nice to have three riders in front and I prefer this situation" concluded Bagnaia.
