The words of Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner spoke after beating Japanese Yoshihito Nishioki in two sets, qualifying for the quarters of the Atp500 in Beijing where he will face the winner of the challenge between Holger Rune and Grigor Dimitrov.

"When I arrived I did not feel great physically forò every day I tried to raise my level and today I think physically I did very well – said Sinner to the Atp microphones at the end of the match – If I go fast enough with peids playing tennis è much easier. I am happy with my performance, but tomorrow will be a tough day, I think I am prepared to play a very good match, but every day is different and hopefully I will catch a good day".

In the past few days, Jannik Sinner’s coach Davide Vagnozzi at a press conference in Beijing told some anecdotes about the blue tennis player.

"I have known Jannik since he was 14 years old. He played against one of my junior players, so I saw him for the first time there. We met many times at tournaments when I was coaching Marco Cecchinato and Stefano Travaglia".

“È really nice to coach him becauseé è a really fun guy. He has a really good character. È easy to coach Jannik also becauseé he wants to improve so much and go on the field always with a smile and everything; so, for a coach è really nice".

"Jannik wants to win everything – Vagnozzi recounted. Just yesterday we lost $20 each, Darren Cahill and I, because he hit the ball with his serve on the first attempt. If we tell him, ‘Take 20 euros if you do it the first time and 15 euros if you do it the second’, Jannik always does it on the first!".
