Carlos Alcaraz crowns Jannik Sinner
Carlos Alcaraz statements ahead of Shanghai Masters 1000 debut
Just days before his debut at the Shanghai Masters 1000, world number two Carlos Alcaraz, in a press conference, è returned to talk about his rival Jannik Sinner's victory in the Beijing ATP 500.
"I did not see the whole match, but I am not at all surprised by the result. I know Sinner's qualities and the level he's capable of expressing. He's one of the best in the world and can beat anyone. I am not surprised by his victory in the final" began the Murcian tennis player.
"I know he lost six consecutive matches against Medvedev, but sometimes you can become a better player through certain defeats. You study your opponent’s game and understand what you did wrong in previous matches to improve and be able to beat a rival next time. I’m really happy for him, but I honestly expected his victory, becauseé he was playing at an incredible level" continued the world number two.
"My main goal in this last part of the season è to regain the first position in the ATP Ranking. First of all forò, I have to learn from failures in order to improve more and more," Carlos Alcaraz commented on his ambitions.
