Brahim Diaz abandons Spain for Morocco

Spanish fantasist Brahim Diaz, now at Real Madrid but who played for AC Milan in the past three seasons, winning the Scudetto in 2022, has chosen to play for Morocco, his parents’ country of origin, and for his national team, abandoning Spain.

This was reported today by AS, specifying that the footballer has accepted the proposal of the change of national team after months of courtship: "The transition è almost finalized and depends on some small administrative details", confided as can be read on Pianeta Milan, a source from the Federation to the Iberian sports daily.

Brahim Díaz made his debut with the Red Furies national team in the friendly won 4-0 at home against Lithuania on June 8, 2021, scoring a goal, but then he was no longer considered: hence the decision to change nationality.

A decision that però certainly does not make Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti happy, since Brahim Diaz will most likely be summoned by Morocco for the African Cup of Nations, which will begin next January 13.
