Jimmy Connors praises Jannik Sinner
Jimmy Connors open-hearted about Jannik Sinner
During the latest installment of his "Advantage Connors" podcast, former U.S. tennis player Jimmy Connors è open-heartedly about Jannik Sinner's recent performance and his elimination in the round of 16 against Ben Shelton.
"If I ever lost serve, discouraged would be the last word I would use. You have to immediately try to put pressure on your opponent, and Jannik seems to have that quality," began the former tennis player.
Next Jimmy Connors è dwelt on the South Tyrolean's Pechina victory defeating Russian Daniil Medvedev, one of his black beasts: "Medvedev has been playing very good tennis this year, especially on concrete. So beating him by winning two tie-breaks è something very strong. These are things that I like. Sinner has reached his best ranking at the fourth position, but I think he has the potential to go up even higher.
