Euro 2024 qualifiers: wins for Spain, Norway, Turkey, Poland, Albania, Kosovo and Latvia. Draw between Belarus and Romania
On the seventh day of the Euro 2024 qualifiers, important victories for Spain, which overcame Scotland 2-0, shortening the distance in the standings in Group A (Scotland 15, Spain 12, ed.) and for Turkey, which defeated Croatia by a narrow margin, taking the lead alone in Group D.
In Group A, the Red Furies prevailed over the Scots 2-0 thanks to goals by Morata and Sancet in the second half. In the group's other match, Haaland dragged Norway to success against Cyprus, which they crashed with a clear 4-0 win. The Manchester City bomber netted a brace, Sorloth and Aursnes scored the other two goals.
In Group D, a dream debut for Vincenzo Montella, who, in his first on the Turkey bench, beat Croatia 1-0 thanks to Yilmaz’s goal. In the group's other match, Latvia came out on top over Armenia 2-0, signed by Ikaunieks and Balodis.
In Group E, clear-cut successes for Poland and Albania, who beat Far Oer and the Czech Republic, respectively. 2-0 in favor of the Poles with goals from Szymanski and Buksa, while the Albanian national team thrashed the Czechs 3-0 thanks to Seferi’s brace and Asani’s goal.
Finally, in Group I, Kosovo triumphed against Andorra with Rashica’s double and Zeqiri’s goal, while a deadlocked draw between Belarus and Romania.
