Jasmine Paolini first dominated, then trembled but eventually won the semifinal of the WTA 500 on the Chinese cement in Zhengzhou.

The 27-year-old from Tuscany, number 31 in the world, her best ranking ever, beat with a score of 6-0 7-5 in one’hour and three quarters of play German veteran Laura Siegemund, number 113 in the WTA ranking.
