Valentino Rossi takes stock of his season in GTWC Europe

Valentino Rossi, after Saturday’s podium finish in race-1 at Zandvoort in the final weekend of the GTWC Europe season, finished seventh in race-2 at the Dutch circuit, a positive result for Rossi himself and his teammate, in the #46 BMW, Maxime Martin, given the difficult track conditions due to rain.

On the sidelines of the race, the 'Doctor' took stock of his experience to the official Team WRT channels, starting with Saturday’s podium: "Yesterday è went very well – he said -, we won our third podium of the season and we had a very good race starting from 15th position. We managed to make a comeback, we did a lot of overtaking, me and Max, and I am very happy with the result".

" Today we could expect more, as we started from pole and Max was flying at the beginning, before the heavy rain started – he added -. For me è it is still difficult to be consistently fast on wet tires, I lost time and made a small mistake".

"Wrapping up the year, è it was a good season, we finished fifth in the Sprint Cup, I è really enjoyed everything, especially working with the team and with Max, and I still have to improve!" said Rossi who, in addition to fifth place in the Sprint Cup standings, finished fifteenth in the Endurance Cup and especially sixth in the overall standings, improving sixteen positions from 2022.
