Euro 2024: Portugal ramps up, Netherlands mocks Greece
On a tragic evening for the Brussels bombing, which led to the permanent suspension of the match between Belgium and Sweden, more Euro 2024 qualifying matches were played.
Prominent among them was Portugal’s clear 5-0 victory over Bosnia Herzegovina: all five goals were scored in the first half. In goal Cristiano Ronaldo with a double, then also Bruno Fernandes, Cancelo and Joao Felix. Rafael Leao was dry. The Lusitanians have already qualified for the European Championships, and with them Slovakia, which won 1-0 away in Luxembourg, is also about to get a pass.
The Netherlands beat Greece in Athens with a Van Dijk penalty in the 90's, joining them in the standings in second place in the group but ahead in direct matches.
