Claudio Lotito bluntly on Ciro Immobile’s future
Claudio Lotito armors Ciro Immobile
The future of Ciro Immobile will not be far from Lazio, at least in the immediate term: the word of Claudio Lotito, who from the columns of 'Il Messaggero' distances the rumors of a farewell even in January, towards Saudi Arabia, of the biancoceleste bomber.
"I don't know anything about Arabia,” Lotito commented, referring to the offer Immobile himself allegedly admitted to in an interview in recent days.
I do not even have an inkling of possible interest, it is not in the interest of our company to sell Ciro".
Immobile, speaking to the very same Roman quoditian in an interview published last week, had said that he had received an offer from the Saudi Professional League, but had turned it down in order to compete with Lazio in the Champions League, a tournament whose atmosphere he had tasted in the days of Borussia Dortmund and Seville.
Stronger, then, è was the will to continue with Lazio, despite some difficulties that last year led him to drop below 15 goals on the season for the first time since the 2015/16 season (played half at Sevilla and half at Torino, Granata side). Also this year, accomplices of several physical problems, the season so far has not provided any particular highlights, but the management does not want to let go of its captain.
