The evening starts badly, then come victory and overtaking.

Ukraine ahead of Italy in Group C of the qualifiers towards Euro 2024. In fact, the 3-1 comeback win on the field of Malta is worth the overtaking and the momentary +3 on the Azzurri, who però have played one match less. They are now called upon to beat the North Macedonia bogeyman and not to fail even against the yellow and blue selection, beaten 2-1 in the first leg at San Siro.

In Malta, it was the hosts who took the lead, thanks to a goal signed by Mbong after 12 minutes. Camenzuli's own-goal at 38' restored parity, then Ukraine won thanks to Dovbyk's penalty at 43' and Mudryk's goal at 85' and flew to 13 points. Italy remains at 10, but with one game less, the advantage in direct clashes and a negative goal difference (-4 vs. -3), but recoverable.

On the other pitches è Denmark’s narrow win in San Marino (2-1, with Golinucci replying to Hojlund, Poulsen decisive), but also Finland’s home knockout with Kazakhstan (Taylor scores, then comes Zaynutdinov’s double). Serbia settles Montenegro 3-1 (twice Mitrovic and Tadic, Jovetic’s temporary equalizer), Slovenia wins 1-0 in Northern Ireland. Finally, Lithuania-Hungary ends 2-2.
