Shortly after beating Lucia Bronzetti  in the Italian derby valid for the quarterfinals of the singles draw of the Monastir WTA tournament, Jasmine Paolini è took a further satisfaction in the doubles, defeating together with Sara Errani the Polish pair of athletes composed of Magdalena Frech and Katarzyna Kawa. The 27-year-old and the 2012 Roland Garros finalist thus earned a place in the finals.

It wasn&#39t a walk in the park for the two athletes from the Bel Paese, as shown by the final score, which indicates as partials 6-7(4), 6-3, 11-9, with Paolini and Errani who in the tie-break also risked big, making a comeback from 8-3 to 8-9: after canceling a match point, the two Italians scored three consecutive points, thus conquering the success.

Paolini and Errani had overcome Alena Fomina and Iryna Shymanovich (Russian the former, Belarusian the latter) in the first round, while in the quarters they got the better of the pair consisting of Kazakh Anna Danilina and Russian Alexandra Panova.

For Paolini, therefore, a very intense weekend lies ahead: in addition to the doubles final there is in fact the semifinal of the singles tournament to be played, against Ukrainian Lesia Tsurenko, very close in terms of ranking to the 27-year-old born in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana (Paolini 30th, her opponent 34th).
