Serie A 2024/2029: Sky gets three matches for each round and highlights
Sky has acquired for the 2024/2029 cycle the co-exclusive rights to three matches per day for a total of 114 Serie A matches per season, along with highlights of all 380 matches, archive rights for current seasons and exclusive rights to all Serie A matches for bars, hotels and other public venues. From the 2024/2025 season, Sky thus strengthens its soccer offering and confirms itself as the Home of Sport in Italy, also featuring motor sports, tennis, basketball and much more, for a total of more than 20 sports.
From the 2024/2025 season, Serie A will be the protagonist on Sky and streaming on NOW, with three evening appointments of great Italian soccer: Saturdays at 8:45 p.m., Sundays at 6 p.m. and Mondays at 8:45 p.m.
Unlike the current cycle, the acquired package will also include 4 big matches for each season and includes a significantly more favorable pick system, which will ensure that Sky and NOW will broadcast some of the most important challenges for each round.
All matches will also be available with the ultra-high definition of 4K and, thanks to highlights of all 380 matches, Sky Sport will also offer the most relevant images of all matches, with pre-match and post-match studies and updates on Sky Sport 24. The storytelling will be even richer and more complete with the’acquisition of archive rights from the current seasons.
As for Sky Business customers in bars, hotels and other public places, also for the 2024/2029 cycle, Sky will offerà all Serie A matches on Sky Sport Bar channels, always with the expertise and quality of the commentary of the Sky Sport team.
“We have decided to increase our investment in Serie A to offer our subscribers a significantly greater number of top matches – commented Marzio Perrelli, Executive Vice President Sport of Sky Italia. From next season we will, in fact, have many more matches with the top teams involved, broadcasting at least 30 of the best 76 matches in the league. We will thus offer three more great evenings that together with the rest of Sky’s extraordinary soccer – over all the exclusive coverage of 185 Champions League matches, the entire Europa League and the Conference League – will allow us to experience the excitement of national and international football” all week long.
From 2024, the top players in European soccer will be playing on Sky and NOW: from all 51 UEFA EURO 2024 matches to 527 European cup matches, with exclusive coverage of 185 of the 203 matches per season of the UEFA Champions League and all UEFA Europa League and UEFA Europa Conference League matches, also thanks to Diretta Gol. Plus, the big challenges of the Premier League and Bundesliga, both of which are exclusive until the end of the 2024/2025 season.
Sky will therefore continue to be the House of Sport and guarantee the widest choice of sports in Italy with F1, MotoGP, tennis with Wimbledon, NBA basketball, rugby, golf and much more.
