F1, Ferrari heading to Mexico: Frederic Vasseur raises voice
Frederic Vasseur: "We can no longer afford errors of judgment"
After the controversial weekend at the Circuit of The Americas, with the misguided strategy and subsequent disqualification that frustrated Charles Leclerc’s ambitions and Carlos Sainz’s podium finish that came only by the book, following Lewis Hamilton’s disqualification, Frederic Vasseur tries to groom the Ferrari environment, confident in a better overall outcome in this weekend’s Mexico GP.
"In Mexico I want to see more concentration from the team because we can no longer afford some of the errors of judgment we saw in the United States,” Vasseur told the Cavallino’s official channels.
What lies ahead è a very special race, in which unique environmental conditions affect the performance of the cars, both in terms of pure performance and tire management".
At the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, the standard race format returns, without Sprint: "Having the traditional race format, we will have a chance to make all the necessary evaluations in the three free practice sessions, and I am convinced that we will devise targeted strategies that will allow us to make the most of a Grand Prix that on paper looks to be not a little complicated" said Vasseur.
"We all, starting with Carlos and Charles, must be able to take advantage of every opportunity" that will present itself" he then concluded.
