Michael Kayode renews with Fiorentina


Fiorentina has made official the renewal of the contract with Michael Kayode, a defender born in 2004 who this year has entered the rotation of coach Vincenzo Italiano after having been the protagonist, with the shirt of the National Under-19 team, of the European Under-19 category held in Malta last July, in which he scored the decisive goal to defeat the equal age team of Portugal.

"ACF Fiorentina announces that footballer Michael Kayode has renewed the contract that binds him to the Società viola until 30/06/2028 – reads the club’s note, released on Wednesday. The young purple defender, after having lived as a protagonist the last few seasons with the Primavera shirt winning an Italian Cup and two Primavera Super Cups, during the summer he became European champion with the Azzurri Under-19 team and, in the current season, he has already collected 8 appearances with the First Team between Serie A and UECL".

Kayode è arrived at Fiorentina in 2021, joining on a permanent basis in the Prim avera formation coached, at the time, by Alberto Aquilani: with the lily-white shirt, the young defender won the Primavera Italian Cup 2021-22 and the Super Cups of the category in 2021 and 2022.
