Official: Gabriele Cioffi returns to the Udinese bench'Udinese

Following Andrea Sottil's exoneration, Udinese has made official the return to the bench of Gabriele Cioffi, who è was already at the helm of the Friulian club in the 2021/22 season, earning 31 points in 22 games. The former Verona coach signed a contract until the end of the season, with an option to renew in case of salvation.

"Udinese Calcio è pleased to announce the appointment of Gabriele Cioffi as the new first team coach. He has signed a contract that will bind him to the club until June 30, 2024 with an’option for one more sports season. For coach Cioffi, this is a return to the HCL bench after his experience in the 2021/2022 season in which, at the helm of the team, he obtained 31 points in 22 games.

Joining him on the coaching staff are assistant coach Cristiano Bacci and match analyst Andrea Aliboni. Cioffi and his staff will direct the training session scheduled for this afternoon. The presentation of the new coach to the press è set for tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 26, at 11:30 a.m. at the Bluenergy Stadium press room.
