Napoli, eyes on Jadon Sancho: after De Bruyne, the club dreams big

After igniting the market with the sensational arrival of Kevin De Bruyne, Napoli does not intend to stop. President Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to build a highly competitive squad for Antonio Conte, and the new big target answers to the name of Jadon Sancho. The English offensive outfielder, who returned to Manchester United after a loan at Chelsea, has landed in the sights of the Neapolitan club, which is ready to make a concrete attempt to bring him to Serie A.
Sancho, class of 2000, is considered one of the most interesting profiles on the market. Despite an inconsistent performance in recent seasons, the talent has never been in question. In the last Premier League he collected 31 appearances topped by 3 goals and 5 assists: numbers that are not exceptional, but that certify his ability to create danger and numerical superiority in the offensive zone.
Chelsea has decided not to redeem him, even paying a penalty for not buying him outright, and Manchester United has already let it be known that it wants to find a new home for the player. This is where Napoli fits in, eager to add quality, imagination and depth on the flanks, especially considering the possible departure of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who was never really replaced in January.
Contacts between the parties are already underway: the Azzurri club is carefully evaluating the feasibility of the operation, especially on the economic level. The player’s high salary is the main obstacle, and an agreement is being sought with United for a possible salary-sharing deal. The alternative could be an onerous loan with a right of redemption, a formula already used successfully in the past by De Laurentiis.
