An impressive victory, even for those who know him well.

Jannik Sinner rewrote history by winning the ATP 500 tournament in Vienna by beating the number 1 seeded (and world number 3) Daniil Medvedev in a long and very complicated final. The success accrued in more than three hours and with the partials of 7-6(7), 4-6, 6-3 also earned him unqualified congratulations from Corrado Barazzutti.

"In the last few weeks Sinner è grown a lot,” Barazzutti explained to the microphones of the Adnkronos agency. “In Beijing and Vienna he played an absolute level of tennis. His game now does not experience any break. He beat a strong opponent like Medvedev after a match of great intensityà and quality. I am really impressed".

"His most obvious improvements are on serve and forehand. The latter fundamental, in the past, occasionally betrayed him and instead now è become one of his strengths. Maybe we canò still make a little improvement on the volleying game, but we" are there, added Barazzutti about Sinner.

So the last consideration, perhaps the most important, from a tennis sacred monster like Barazzutti: "Sinner now è ready to win a Grand Slam tournament. And, having done that, become world No. 1".
