Ten Azzurri call-ups for the Speed Opening in Zermatt/Cervinia
Technical director Max Carca has made official the summonses ahead of the men’s double downhill at the SpeedOpening in Zermatt/Cervinia on Saturday, November 11 and Sunday, November 12, an unprecedented event for the World Cup because it will be; for the first time in the history of a cross-border race, starting on the Swiss side from the Rollin Hump at an altitude of 3720 meters for men (women will start instead at a lower altitude of 3485 meters) and finishing at Laghi Cime Bianche at an altitude of 2840 meters.
At the start of the trials scheduled between Wednesday, November 8 to Friday, November 10 will be Dominik Paris, Christof Innerhofer, Florian Schieder, Mattia Casse, Nicolò Molteni, Benjamin Alliod, Pietro Zazzi, Giovanni Franzoni, Giovanni Borsotti and Guglielmo Bosca. As a reminder, Italy can field up to a maximum of eight athletes in the competition.
