MotoGp, Fabio Di Giannantonio: Honda is further away
Fabio di Giannantonio moreù away from Honda
Still looking for a new saddle for the 2024 season, Fabio Di Giannantonio has to deal with some not very encouraging news for him coming out of Spain: according to Ricard Jové, who comments on MotoGp for 'Dazn España', Honda would like to convince Fermin Aldeguer to take the plunge.
"I è been confirmed the news of an offer to Fermin Aldeguer by HRC – wrote Jové on 'X' (ex-Twitter) -, to flank Joan Mir in the 2024 and 2025 seasons. I know his priorityè è Moto2, a choice I support, but è itè also true that trains like that rarely pass. He will have toà decide".
Aldeguer, currently engaged in Moto2 with the Speed Up team, has taken two victories this season, in Britain and the recent Thailand GP. He's also gone on the podium twice more, in Indonesia and Australia. With three races to go è he is sixth with 137 points and only 6.5 lengths separate him from the top 5 in the overall standings.
Di Giannantonio, on the other hand, comes from a rather stingy season of satisfaction, thoughé in Phillip Island he took a nice third place. Taking his place in the Gresini Racing team will be; Marc Marquez, coming right out of Honda HRC.
