F1, Max Verstappen also wins in Brazil. Sprint podium for Alonso, Sainz 6th
Another victory for Max Verstappen
The "cannibal" Max Verstappen also takes the Brazilian Grand Prix, after winning the Sprint race twenty-four hours ago. The Red Bull Dutchman handled the race in substantial tranquility and was just under eight seconds ahead of Lando Norris, who was on the podium for the sixth time this season.
Exciting was the battle for third place between Fernando Alonso and Sergio Perez: the winner, on the last lap, was the Asturian of Aston Martin, at the end of a fight made of overtaking and counter-overtaking that thrilled the Interlagos audience.
Closing out the day's top 5 was the other Aston Martin, that of Lance Stroll, while for Ferrari and Mercedes ended a weekend to forget: the Rossa had to deal with the retirement of Charles Leclerc already in the formation lap, while Carlos Sainz could not do better than sixth place despite a generous race; even worse è went to the cars of the stable of Brackley, with Lewis Hamilton seventh behind the Alpine of Pierre Gasly and George Russell forced to say goodbye prematurely to the race due to technical problems".
In the drivers’ standings, Ferraris are out of the top five (Sainz 6° with 192 points, overtaken today by Alonso and Norris, Leclerc 7° at 170), in the constructors’ standings, the Rossa holds on to third place with 354 points but cannot get any closer to Mercedes, ahead by 24 lengths.
