"The priority; è is to evaluate all options for it to remain the Italian matrix even for the bobsled track. And I would like to point out that a possible relocation of races to foreign venues è an extreme solution, to be considered only if no alternative solutions" arrive. This was said by the minister for sports and youth, Andrea Abodi, during 'question time' in the House on the Milan-Cortina bobsled track.
"The identification of an alternative to the Cortina track,” Abodi added, “necessarily passes through a proper preliminary process that is still in progress. Last Oct. 23, the Piedmont Region and the metropolitan city sent the Foundation the requested documentation on the Cesana runway, and on Oct. 24 I asked the Minister of Infrastructure to consider to whom to entrust the technical investigation, which was done on the same day to the company Simico. È was opened with a technical table whose first meeting will be held today at 4:30 p.m. and I have personally urged all the actors involved so that the process will be concluded within this week".
Abodi then concluded: "This is not the time for predictions, but the government's commitment is total with investments going mainly to public works that will improve the lives of citizens in the future".
