First ever summons for Carlos Alcaraz to the Laver Cup. The Spanish tennis player will participate for the first time in his career in the match between Europe and the Rest of the World.
"I am really excited that Carlos will join Team Europe in Berlin" said Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg. After two losses in a row, Europe plans to field the best tennis players: "The’goal’is to win and having Carlos committed to the Team Europe cause’is an exciting start to what I anticipate will be an outstanding roster".
Speaking of "exceptional roster" thoughts go to Novak Djokovic and the possible first convocation of Jannik Sinner, who would become the third Italian to participate after Fabio Fognini and Matteo Berrettini.
