Zemartt/Cervinia, downhill skiing cancelled

The heavy snowfall that fell overnight and is currently still ongoing and the wind at altitude have forced the organizers of the Speed Opening in Zemartt/Cervinia to cancel the first of the two men’s World Cup downhill races scheduled on Gran Becca.

During the meeting of team leaders scheduled at 5 p.m., the situation will be taken stock of the situation with a view to the second race, scheduled for Sunday, November 12, at 11:30 a.m.

For Italy, eight competitors were entered at the start: Dominik Parism, Mattia Casse, Florian Schieder, Christof Innerhofer, Nicolò Molteni, Pietro Zazzi, Guglielmo Bosca and Benjamin Alliod.
