MotoGP, Fabio Di Giannantonio option pops up for Team VR46

There is work on a possible team change all within Ducati.

Should Luca Marini leave, there are already ideas for his replacement. And one of them leads to Fabio Di Giannantonio, who after a not easy start to the season is giving himself a 2023 autumn full of satisfaction with his Ducati of Team Gresini.

The signing of Marc Marquez ahead of 2024 effectively took the saddle off Di Giannantonio, who però just as the Catalan’s arrival in his place became official, he began grinding out top-level performances in MotoGP. So much so as to make it much more improbable that he will not be hired next season.

If, in fact, at Honda they seem to have already chosen Luca Marini, the very departure of Valentino Rossi’s brother would free up a place that Di Giannantonio himself could fill. The solution is not è automatic, since in the Ducati house it could be decided to also promote the very young Fermin Aldeguer. But the Roman starts anything but in the background.
