Alessandro Bastoni keeps Inter anxious: tests confirm knockout
Muscle soreness for Alessandro Bastoni
The results of the examinations to which Alessandro Bastoni è underwent after Thursday’s stop have been released by the national team’s medical staff.
"Following the instrumental examinations carried out this morning – reads the Figc note -, which confirmed a muscular resentment in the right calf, defender Alessandro Bastoni è was deemed unfit to sustain commitments with the national team and will therefore makeà return to the club to which he belongs. Further investigations will be carried out by the medical staff of Inter'Inter".
The defender, a pivot of Simone Inzaghi's Inter backroom department, will be able to return to Milan immediately to further verify the condition of his calf and determine the recovery time. The fear, from the Nerazzurri's point of view, è of not having him available for the Nov. 26 summit challenges against Juventus and Dec. 3 against Napoli, both away.
Bastoni, a Nerazzurri starter, has so far missed only three matches: against Salernitana on Sept. 30, against Torino on Oct. 21 and against Atalanta on Nov. 4, again due to technical choice and, essentially, to rest given the club's numerous commitments.
