Ferrari, Charles Leclerc has no illusions: “We look strong but…”
Charles Leclerc’s words after FP2
After setting the fastest time in the second free practice session of the Las Vegas GP, the Ferrari driver è expressed himself bluntly about his feelings ahead of the continuation of the weekend.
"I like the track, è fun to drive. I’ve always liked city tracks, but this è really nice. So far it looks like we are quite competitive, but the weekend è still long and è hard to predict where we are in terms of race pace, but on the dry lap, we look strong. We have to keep working to maintain this form and make progress ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying. I don’t know if we can compete with Red Bull. In qualifying we will be theì but in the race I think they are still too strong and Max had a grand pace" began the Monegasque at the microphones of "Sky Sport F1"
"It's been a very different day than usual. The first two laps were very poor with grip, but then the dirt è disappeared and there's been a 'reasonable grip'. With FP1 ended after just four laps, we had to get as many miles as possible in the second session, in which we had more time and were able to try all the rubber compounds. The session è was productive, becauseé we managed to complete a good number of laps and I enjoyed driving on this track" added Charles Leclerc.
