Sofia Goggia before going to domire posted a message on Facebook ahead of this morning’s race (postponed and still at risk of cancellation).

"Tomorrow the gate opens again in the discipline of my dreams; the Downhill. The’thrill è always the same but, perhaps, this time, there’s something slightly different in the’air: in past seasons we would all open the gate in Free Downhill after a long block of speed training; in America; at Copper we would pull out the perfect set-up and those two weeks were crucial to test ourselves in the long turns. With this first race soì “early”, the certainties of the American trip come less… but maybe, I tell myself, è itè also nice this way;.  Becauseé those certainties you have to carry them inside you, whatever you do , whatever track you face, in whatever discipline, no matter if the’last day of downhill è was in September, you start to feel inside you to be there".
