Sofia Goggia and Federica Brignone lead the Azzurre in Killington

The Azzurre summoned for the expedition to Killington

Fisi technical director of the women’s alpine ski team Gianluca Rulfi has released the list of summoned athletes for the double date in the American trip to Killington, Vermont. Two downhill runs (Giant and Slalom) are scheduled for Saturday, November 25 and Sunday, November 26 (starting both times at 4:00 p.m., with the second run starting at 7:00 p.m., with live television coverage on Raisport and Eurosport).

Twelve blue athletes have been summoned: Roberta Melesi, Laura Pirovano, Marta Bassino, Asja Zenere, Elisa Platino, Sofia Goggia, Beatrice Sola and Federica Brignone, Beatrice Sola, Martina Peterlini, Marta Rossetti, Lara Della Mea and Anita Gulli.

The record for the Azzurre on the U.S. track is positive, as Italy boasts two consecutive wins with Federica Brignone (2018) and Marta Bassino (2019). In addition, last season the Piedmontese from the Army finished in second place.
