Ukraine-Italy, the probable formations
The probable lineups
All in ninety minutes: Italy and Ukraine will play on Monday evening in Germany, on the neutral ground of Leverkusen (venue chosen due to the impossibility of playing on Ukrainian soil) for the qualification to Euro 2024, an event that, among other things, will be played on German soil. The Azzurri will have two results out of three at their disposal: they would pass as second in the group, in fact, by winning or even a draw, since by finishing tied on points against the Ukrainians, Italy would have the direct clashes in its favor, given the 2-1 win last September at San Siro.
Head coach Luciano Spalletti, however, does not want to leave anything to chance: space for the Certaldo coach's classic 4-3-3; with Scamacca and Politano from 1' in attack and Jorginho confirmed in midfield, alongside Barella and Frattesi. Di Lorenzo returns at the back, occupying his place on the right flank.
As for Ukraine, head coach Serhiy Rebrov will most likely rely on 4-2-3-1 with Dovbyk the main point of reference in attack, supported by Tsygankov, Sudakov and Mudryk. Stepanenko and Zinchenko will have the task of disrupting, in the median, the blue plots.
