Treviso, Frank Vitucci dismisses exoneration rumors
During an interview given to the microphones of the "Gazzettino", Nutribullet Treviso head coach Frank Vitucci è bluntly expressed himself on the complicated start of the season topped by a 0-8 record. In addition, the former Brindisi commented on rumors regarding his possible exoneration.
"I do not feel I am in the balance, but given my role, I am constantly under judgment and right now even more so. Coaches are always under fire when things are not going great: see Ettore Messina, someone much more important than me. Probably after an 0-8 start, in another club, the coach would have jumped. In this case, other evaluations were made, because we didn't see the team collapse, but we always produced decent performances that were never enough to bring home the W" began the Nutribullet head coach.
"There are profiles that are not suited to certain systems of play and vice versa. There are players who perform well with certain coaches, while with others they succeed in fulfilling their potential. There are situations in which one succeeds in playing a certain way, others in which one does not. This summer we made a series of evaluations on some players, which then were not reflected in what è was their performance on the court" added the former Brindisi head coach.
In conclusion Frank Vitucci commented on the signings of Olisevicius and Justin Robinson: "They are two players who can actually give us substance, concreteness and solidity. They have experience both of our league and of complicated situations, like the one we are going through right now. I think, given these factors, they can definitely help us".
