Great enthusiasm is mixed with tranquility and belief in one’s own means.
Jannik Sinner è the star of Italy back in the Davis Cup final 25 years after the last time. Indeed, the South Tyrolean beat Novak Djokovic in singles on Saturday and then defeated him in doubles as well, partnering with Lorenzo Sonego while the other representative from Serbia was Miomir Kecmanovic. But now the focus è all on the challenge to Australia on Sunday.
"Today è was a long and intense day,” Sinner admitted to the microphones of 'Sky Sports'. Musetti had played a wonderful singles match, but then it slipped away from him. When è it was my turn I tried to give it my all against Djokovic. In the second set I managed to raise the bar, but in general I must say that I always believed in it".
" We found ourselves one point away from elimination. But in the end we are still here, and tomorrow we will have a chance to win the Davis Cup. However, we are all calm, also becauseé we played a very high level doubles and with great intensity. For me it might not have been easy, but Lorenzo helped me a lot. We are happy, now let’s see what will happen,"” concluded Sinner.
