Taster test on Beaver Creek’s Bird’s of Prey for the World Cup sprinters, who will play their cards in two downhill runs and a super-G this weekend.
The best time in the first timed run è by Aleksander Aamodt Kilde in 1’39″68, ahead of the surprising Frenchman Cyprien Sarrazin, only 23 hundredths behind the Norwegian. Third place went to German Andreas Sander, 56 hundredths behind the first. Fourth place for Mattia Casse, the best of the Italians, placed 62 hundredths behind Kilde, but with the best times in the final part of the course.
Hooked in the top four are Canada’s Cameron Alexander and Norway’s Adrian Sejersted. Also very positive was Chilean Henrik Von Appen with the seventh best time overall. Also in evidence was Guglielmo Bosca, thanks to a level first part and at the end 13th with 1″27 down on the leader. Sixteenth è Dominik Paris at 1″61, who studied the various passages of the American track, while Christof Innerhofer è 2″03 from the best. Florian Schieder stops the chrono with 2″21 down, we see a good Franzoni recovering at 2″49, while Pietro Zazzi leaves 2″54 behind the front runner. Further behind is Giovanni Borsotti at 3″02, Benjamin Alliod at 3″66 and Nicolò Molteni at 4″51 from Kilde.
