Yeman Crippa called up for European Championships
Yeman Crippa summoned
Technical director Antonio La Torre has announced the list of summoned athletes for the European Cross Championships in Brussels scheduled for Sunday, December 10. The blue team will be made up of 42 athletes, including 21 men and 21 women, with seven full teams, including the mixed relay team that triumphed in the last edition at home in Venaria Reale.
Among those summoned, the main names are those of Yeman Crippa and Nadia Battocletti: at the EuroCross, the 10,000 European champion Crippa won the silver medal in Lisbon 2019 and was fourth last year, while Battocletti è back from four consecutive successes in the U20 and U23 categories and for the first time will be competing in the overall category.
Among others selected are Italian marathon record holder Iliass Aouani, specialists such as Anna Arnaudo and Pasquale Selvarolo, and three reigning European relay champions: Pietro Arese, Gaia Sabbatini and Yassin Bouih, the latter this time involved in the ‘long’ race. Also in the relay, as starters, Ossama Meslek and Marta Zenoni.
