Thomas Ceccon flies to Paris 2024 Olympics
After Gregorio Paltrinieri, Thomas Ceccon also detaches his Olympic pass for Paris 2024. The swimmer from Veneto, in fact, gained access to the Olympic Games thanks to his victory in the 100-meter backstroke at the Winter Absolute in Riccione.
The Italian recorded a time of 52"82, ahead of Michele Lamberti, who finished the race in 53"76, gaining qualification for the World Championships in Doha. Completing the podium there è Lorenzo Mora in 54"21.
Thomas Ceccon’s next commitment will be the European Short Course Championships in Otopeni (Romania), where he will compete in the mixed and relay events. After that, the 2001-born swimmer will be able to begin preparation for the Paris 2024 Olympics.
