Tough words towards the Rossoneri management by the former defender

Maldini è never trivial when he speaks. After a long silence, the former Rossoneri manager decided to tell his side of the story to Repubblica. A river interview in which Maldini pointed his finger especially at patron Cardinale.

"Cardinale I met him in passing at a few Champions matches, but in the space of a year I only had a chat about how sports management was going. He texted me four times about the various round passes, without even calling me. The first thing he told me, when we met, è was that we had to trust each other, even before we got to know each other more, because we didné have no time. I trusted and honestly how è it went è known to everyone. I believe that the decision to fire Massara and me had been made many months before", the clear words of Maldini himself.

Harsh was also the attack on Scaroni, current Rossoneri president: "I have never received support in the many difficult moments. On the contrary. In the stands I often saw him leave when the opponents equalized or took the lead, perhaps just to avoid finding traffic. While I remember him punctually in the front row when we won the Scudetto: that is why I do not know what was meant by the expression “united group without” me".

Maldini also sent a message to the current management: "You are in charge today, but please respect the history of Milan". And, finally, a piece of advice to Pioli: "He should be thanked, but giving him tasks beyond his own will make him increasingly lonely".
