All the World Cup records of Federica Brignone

Federica Brignone is rewriting the history of Italian women’s alpine skiing, and she rewrote another piece of it yesterday with her victory in the Mont-Tremblant giant slalom, which made her, at 33 years and 141 days, the oldest ever winner among the wide gates in the Cirque Rose, beating the record of Austria’s Anita Wachter, who on Dec. 28, 1999, won in Lienz at 32 years and 319 days.

È still far away is the absolute seniority record for a World Cup victory, which belongs to another Austrian, Elisabeh Goergl, who triumphed in the super-G in Val d’Isère on Dec. 21, 2014 at 33 years and 304 days, but the Valdostan outclasswoman, should she still make it to the next season competitive, and there’è no reason to doubt that she won’t, could make it to beat this record as well.
