Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini won’t stand for it: ‘Someone doesn’t pull the cart’
A defeat that could lead to some consequences.
Atalanta was unrecognizable in Turin, where the granata won 3-0, further shortening a standings where many are now dreaming of European or even Champions League qualification. The Nerazzurri remain technically attached to the train, finding themselves four points off fourth place. But Gian Piero Gasperini, at the end of a very bad Monday night for his team, admitted that something is wrong. And that something could change.
"This è our first really bad performance – è was Gasperini's end-of-game analysis, at the microphones of 'DAZN' -. Absences also affect, we are losing too many players in the same department. Forò there'è also to be said that not the whole team is pulling the strings. And so we will need to think well".
Gasperini then tried to get into the substance of Atalanta's problems, which is just back from one point in four games: "We must not throw everything away, becauseé some players have been a great example. Others però continue to struggle, especially to understand what the spirit of the team is. I think it is a character problem, becauseé the important examples are there. Just follow them".
Among those Gasperini does not fail, però Charles De Ketelaere stands out. "He did some good things and è was a good reference. He has had a lot of fouls, created a good scoring opportunity. Right now he has a strength deficit, he needs to grow but we canò count on him", assured the Atalanta coach.
