Inter, set date for Lautaro Martínez’s renewal
Inter, set date for renewal of Lautaro Martínez
One of the priorities at Inter è is to define the future of the key elements of the squad at Simone Inzaghi’s disposal. In addition to Dimarco and Mkhitaryan, the Nerazzurri would be continuing contacts to armor Lautaro Martínez, the club’s captain and top scorer whose contract will expire in 2026.
According to reports from "La Gazzetta dello Sport", the Milanese management is reportedly intent on finding the final white smoke by the first week of 2024. The Argentine striker would be ready to tie himself to the Nerazzurri until 2028, going on to earn a top player salary of 8 million euros per season, higher than the 6 he currently receives.
Should the renewal come through, Lautaro Martínez would reach more than 10 years in the Nerazzurri, thus becoming one of the longest-serving players in the club’s history. Since the start of the new season, he has scored 13 goals in 14 games, a figure that, in addition to pushing him to improve his personal record (21 goals in the last two seasons in Serie A), has allowed the meneghini to move to the top of the table with the best attack in the league (33).
