Perugia-Minas 3-0 (25-13, 25-21, 25-19)
Perugia is confirmed as world champion for the second year in a row, following its success in 2022 against Itas Trentino. In the final of the World Club Volleyball Championship in Bangalore, the Umbrians crashed the Brazilians of Itambe Minas, already defeated in the round, with a dry 3-0 with the partials of 25-13, 25-21 and 25-19.
Authoritative performance of Angelo Lorenzetti’s men who left no chance to the Brazilians, starting from the first set, dominated 25-13, with with Semeniuk and Plotnytskyi on the shields, with four points each on the score sheet (they will close with 14 and 13 points respectively).
A little more suffering in the second half for the Block Devils, who found themselves down 8-3. The Umbrians evened the score on 9-9: from here they proceeded point to point until 18-18 when Giannelli and his teammates placed the decisive stretch and brought themselves one step away from the title.
In the third set, Sir Susa Vim placed the decisive break on 10-9, winning five consecutive points. At that point it è not a problem for the Umbrian team to defend it until the final victory. For Perugia it was the second consecutive rainbow title (only Sada Cruzeiro and Trento had succeeded before), won without conceding a single set throughout the competition.
