Roma, Jose Mourinho ready to make an assist to Leonardo Bonucci
To date, the adventure at Union Berlin is not going as planned
After a lifetime at Juventus (with a stint at AC Milan), Bonucci decided to set his sights abroad, specifically in the Bundesliga. In the summer he chose Union Berlin but, to date, the adventure with the German club is not going as planned. On the contrary, there are so many difficulties he is encountering that, according to German media, he might return to Serie A.
The assist to return to Italy could be provided by Mourinho. The Portuguese coach is living with a state of constant emergency. With Smalling in the box, N'Dicka leaving for the African Cup of Nations and so many central defenders not at the top of their game in terms of performance, the experience of the 1987-born Bonucci could come in very handy. Moreover, Bonucci himself is aiming to play in the European Championship and, to do so, he needs to play continuously.
Bonucci has left his family in Turin and told Marca that he feels lonely in Germany. Moreover, Union Berlin is disappointing on all fronts and Bonucci does not seem willing to fight not to relegate. At Roma, of course, the goals would be different. Even at the level of recruitment, the former Bianconero could be a good solution for the Giallorossi coffers.
