McLaren, Oscar Piastri looks forward to 2024
After concluding his rookie season with a triumph in the Sprint Race in Qatar, McLaren driver Oscar Piastri, during an interview with the F1 website, spoke out in no uncertain terms ahead of 2024, where the main goal will be to try to get the first victory of his F1 career.
"The missed podium at Silverstone hurt me and I thought that if I ever had another chance to succeed in the top-3 I would not fail. And then è came the podium at Suzuka, which è was incredibly satisfying, è it was a special moment and one of the best weekends. Looking ahead to next year I think we will have more than a chance to fight for a victory" began the Australian driver.
"Qatar è was by far the best weekend of 2023. We had a'clear opportunity to win not a Gp, but still a race. Being able to win the Lusail Sprint è was a proud moment for me. At that moment I didn't realize clearly how happy I was because the next day we had the Grand Prix. That è was the first weekend where I told myself that I could not get any better out of the track" concluded Oscar Piastri.
