Novak Djokovic takes a stab at the future and makes an illustrious comparison

A few days before the start of his 22nd season, world number one Novak Djokovic, during an interview on the eve of his upcoming exhibition at the Riyadh Season Tennis Cup against Carlos Alcaraz, wanted to dwell on his near future by taking as an example  the historic American football quarterback Tom Brady, who announced his retirement at the age of 45 after no less than 7 Super Bowls.

"I would love to be like Tom Brady and continue to play beyond the age of 40. He's a great example of a champion in his sport and someone who has had such a long career. He spent many hours and a lot of time taking care of his body, recovering and making sure that in a sense every aspect both physical and mental was covered so that he could have stayed competitive soì long. I know him personally and I learned a lot from him, from his example, and I hope I can have the same longevity as him" began the Serbian tennis player as you can read in "Tuttosport".

"The year 2023 è was one of the best seasons of my life, as I was able to win three out of four Slams, triumph at the Nitto ATP Finals and confirm myself as number one in the world. Given the level I am playing at, I see no reason to stop. I will move forward facing at most one year at a time and see where I can get" concluded Novak Djokovic
