Allianz Allianz Vero Volley Milano  è ready for the big match of the sixth day of the return round of Serie A1 Tigotà. The Consortium’s women’s flagship team, in fact, è expected the day after tomorrow, Sunday, February 4, at 5:30 p.m. (live Volleyballworld.tv and SkySport) by Prosecco Doc Imoco Conegliano at PalaVerde.

After a clear 3-1 win among the friendly walls of the’Allianz Cloud, against Volley Bergamo 1991, the Consortium’s first pink team aims to continue the string of victories in the top national competition, which sees Coach Gaspari’s girls undefeated for thirteen consecutive matches. The last and only defeat in the championship dates back to the first match, where the Venetians won 1-3 in the unprecedented setting of the Mediolanum Forum in Assago.

Orro and her teammates will therefore try to continue the chase after the leader, in a confrontation certainly all to live between the two teams at the top of the standings. A great opportunity to take revenge in what is now è a great classic of our volleyball. Character, tenacity and determination: these are the winning characteristics of Vero Volley. When the ball is hot Milan does not scare, bringing out the lucidity è and the strength of the great teams, and è what it will aim è to replicate also in the home of the Panthers.

The meneghine’s goal, therefore, is to continue to find continuity and smiles, knowing that winning would also allow them to approach the next match, which will be another big match, against Igor Gorgonzola Novara, at the Allianz Cloud, with more confidence. There are plenty of exes on both sides of the net: as many as seven among players and technical staff.

As for the Lombardy women, Vero Volleyball will reunite with center Squarcini – in Milan from 2019 to 2021 -, and the du slappers Plummer and Genarri, protagonists with the Consortium jersey in 209/2020 the former and in 2021/22 the latter. Conegliano, on the other hand, will see the return of Egonu and Sylla in addition to that of Folie and coach Gaspari, seen on the Veneto bench in 2012/13 and 2013/14.

From a statistical point of view, Milan will be able to count once again on the solid reception of Dominican libero Brenda Castillo, who currently ranks first among the “top receivers” in the league with 52.03% perfect receptions, with teammate Cazaute, third with 42.33%. In second place is Conegliano libero Monica De Gennaro with 45.23%.

Milan also leads the ranking of “best spikers” thanks to Paola Egonu, at 379, followed by Novara’s Russian Akimova with 351 ground balls and Conegliano’s Isabelle Haak, third with 331 points scored. Looking at the team stats, the hosts lead the standings for points scored (1248) and that for aces made (134).
