Dorothea Wierer at the World Championships
It will be Didier Bionaz, Tommaso Giacomel, Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi who will open the World Championships in Nove Mesto (Cze) in the mixed relay scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 7 at 5:20 p.m. (live television broadcast on Raisport and Eurosport). The well-established quartet, which during this season è has already been able to get on the podium of the specialty with the second place in Antholz and the third in Oestersund, è is ready for a new assault on the top positions to start the rainbow review in the best possible way. Due to the impossibility of training on the race track (wind and rain advised the organizers to work on the track), the group had a short outing on the skirolls, waiting for the competitions.
Dorothea Wierer completed a positive round of work in the pre-world championship meet held in Antholz last week. “I feel better as a condition – she tells -, but I still cannot say how much I have grown. The important è that I was able to train smoothly, the fact that I start with a team race could favor me, I will definitely try to give my best, we will see what happens. The’goal è to be able to make a mark in this World Cup, there will be no shortage of opportunities”.
Tommaso Giacomel has put aside the Anterselva mass start, the last World Cup race before the rainbow break, in which he had failed to make his mark, and is looking ahead. “The condition è what it è has been, so far the season tells me that I arrive at this important appointment with the right condition and motivation”.
