Ferrari, Carlos Sainz breaks silence on Lewis Hamilton: "I've digested it"
Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz on the sidelines of the presentation of the all-new SF-24 also spoke about his farewell to the Maranello team at the end of the season, after è the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in 2025 was made official. "I think the news was a bit of a surprise, as it was for everyone in the world of Formula 1. I think everyone was surprised by what è happened", the Spaniard told the media present.
"For my part, you can of course understand that I received the news a little bit’ before everyone else – these are the words reported by Formulapassion -. But è it is true that then I had a few weeks to reflect, a few weeks to prepare for the launch of the car and for the first race of the season, this gives you’ some time to digest, to draw conclusions on how to focus on the 2024" season.
Sainz commented this way on his first impact with the new single-seater: "When I saw the SF-24 for the first time I wanted to get on it and start the engine. I can’t wait to drive it on the track to verify that, as the simulator tells us, this car is the step forward we all want".
"The’goalè to have a single-seater that is more drivable and therefore consistent on the race pace, which are the basic requirements to be able to fight for victory. We want to give something to get excited about to the fans who supported us even in the mostù difficult moments of last season".
